Professions

In the tribes of Oiraons, each Oiraon may choose to specialize in one of the 5 professions below and unlock role-specific accessories to be incorporated into their design. The roles are priest, hunter, healer, artisan and beast master. Oiraons that did not specialize in any role will remain as regular members of the tribe and will not be allowed to use these special accessories in their design.  Members are allowed to use accessories, but they are specifically not allowed to use these without having the profession unlocked for that oiraon.

Beast Master  prompt questline: You must complete all 4 prompts before the role would be unlocked

1. Your Oiraon is in the midst of collecting food when they found themselves intrigued by a native animal. They had heard distant stories of Oiraon being able to tame beasts of all sorts, but never once had even thought of the idea themselves. Yet looking at this strange creature, curiosity engraved itself in their heart, and they wondered if one day, they could understand the beasts as well.  Draw your Oiraon observing an animal (one of the available pet types) native to their biome!  If they are a hybrid, you may choose one of the two biomes for prompt one and two of this questline.

2. A few days had passed since that encounter, yet your Oiraon has never stopped thinking about it.  Pulled by the connection they felt, they decided to return. Although most Oiraons considered beasts to be less intelligent, your Oiraon feels nothing but respect for the creatures.  Deep in thought, your Oiraon suddenly hears a sound and found themselves faced with a beast.  Draw your Oiraon interacting with a beast (one of the available pet types) from their biome!  It may be a positive interaction such as petting a Snarret, or it may be a negative one, such as being bitten by a Snowleap.

3. After that encounter, your Oiraon has made up their mind and has decided to leave the small territory of their tribe to discover more animals in the lands beyond theirs.  Perhaps they shall venture to the lands of ice, or maybe to the lands without rain. Whichever path they take, they are determined to learn to understand the language of the beasts.  Draw your Oiraon journeying to a different biome and taming a beast!  It may be one previously seen, but also may be one from any biome.

4.  The tale of the beast master is one admired by many Oiraon tribes.  With their instruments made of white bone, they are the pied piper to the creatures that follow.  Some fashioned the bone into a horn to call for battle, others used it as a graceful instrument to serenade the most beautiful of beasts.  Now, what were dreams have now become reality.  Your Oiraon picks up a bone that they had harvested from a skeleton of a beast which had perished long ago, and whispered blessings to set its soul free.  Draw your Oiraon carving their bone instrument, yet their journey is not done.  You may choose to include their new pet(s) in the scene, but it is not required.  Additionally, submit a reference of the instrument and a design of at least one of their newly tamed pets.

Priest accessories: Headdress
While priest headdresses contain feathers and horns, we strongly discourage you from designing headdresses that closely resemble headdresses from indigenous people of North America as it can be offensive to their culture.
